The Odessa Council for the Arts & Humanities grants up to $20,000 to qualifying organizations for projects/events that meet certain criteria. Are you, or an organization for which you volunteer, planning an arts or humanities event in Odessa and planning to entice tourists to come here? Then maybe the Council can help you pay for some of it.
The event must be held in Odessa, or within 12 miles (read—the airport) and it can be sponsored by an individual or an organization, not necessarily a 501(c)(3) group. The Council likes to assist new projects and support artists and projects that create a greater appreciation for the cultural and ethnic diversity of the community, but it MUST draw people to our city and be an arts or humanities event. If your project/event meets these criteria, then we want to help you.
